Lombard
The next town over — close enough to actually show up.
Our shop is in Villa Park, right on the other side of the line, which means when a Lombard customer calls, we're not quoting a job we'll get to next week — we're already working three streets away.
That proximity is the whole point of a page like this, and it's the part most companies fudge. Plenty of them list Lombard while dispatching from the far side of the county, so "we'll swing by" turns into a week of missed windows. We're close enough that showing up on time isn't a logistics problem. It's just a short drive.
And Lombard is a town that notices. This is the Lilac Village — a place that named a festival after a flower and built a park around a private lilac collection. When a town takes its gardens that seriously, homeowners tend to have standards, and the older neighborhoods back it up: mature canopy, established beds, and trees old enough to need someone who actually knows how to prune them instead of just topping them off.
That someone is usually us. Cutting Edge started with a father and son — Joe Fedele put in 38 years with the City of Chicago Bureau of Forestry, retiring as District Superintendent — and now three generations run the same trucks. Twenty-plus years, one family, working both sides of the Villa Park–Lombard line.
Weekly mowing, trimming, edging, and cleanup that keeps a property sharp all season. Lombard's older lots come with mature borders and tight corners a rush crew cuts around — we don't skip the parts that take an extra minute.
Pruning, shaping, and shrub trimming from people who learned trees at the municipal level, not from a rental chipper. In a town full of old canopy, knowing what to cut — and what to leave alone — is the difference between a healthy tree and a mistake you can't undo.
Beds, plantings, restoration, and redesigns for homeowners who want the yard to look intentional. In a place with Lombard's gardening reputation, we build landscapes that hold up next to the neighbors'.
Mulch, topsoil, and decorative stone dropped exactly where you want it — for Lombard do-it-yourselfers who just need good material and a clean drop.
Reliable residential and commercial plowing and salting. Being one town over means we're plowing Lombard drives while the out-of-town crews are still loading up.

Most of the crews bidding on Lombard work are solving a routing problem, and you're a stop on it. A company running out of a farther suburb is optimizing windshield time, which is exactly why the callbacks drag and the "quick fix" never is.
We don't have that math to run. Our shop sits right across the Villa Park line, so Lombard gets the same fast response and tight scheduling our home turf does — plus a crew that already knows this side of the county: the soil, the tree stock, the village pickup rules. We're not learning your town on the clock.
Twenty years of working right next door means a lot of our Lombard jobs come by word of mouth, from one neighbor telling another. That only happens if you keep showing up and doing it right — which, when you're this close, is a lot harder to get away with not doing.
